One of a number of bluebell wood pieces I have made. They have all been inspired by one of my photographs, taken at Temple Newsam Park, Leeds, when the bluebells in the woods were in full bloom. This circle is highly textured, creating a feeling of depth to the scene, reflecting the dappled sunlight, as well as the vibrant bluebells. The glass circle is 20cm in diameter, the height, including the stand, is 30.5cm.

I usually make the summer flower border and meadow pieces in a curved form but I also make some and frame them, so they can be hung on a wall. I love walking through woodland landscapes, in particular autumn. We used to own a chestnut mare and my favourite time of year was autumn, when the leaves matched her beautiful chestnut colour. As the sun stays lower in the sky, it enhances the rich autumn colours, something I enjoy depicting in my autumn woodland pieces. The glass circle is 20cm in diameter.
