The simple design, of an Avocet, is based on one of my photographs. The background is a special production streaky glass. Details are added by hand, using traditional stained-glass paint, this is then fired in my kiln and will not fade or flake. This large curve measures 23.5cm wide, 19cm high and 9cm deep.

One of a series of four woodland landscapes, Spring. Spring is in the air, vibrant new green leaves burst from buds on trees, punctuated by early pink blossom. This piece is inspired by one of my photographs, taken at Temple Newsam Park, the bluebells in the woods were in full bloom. This curve is highly textured, creating a feeling of depth to the scene, the dappled sunlight, as well as the vibrant bluebells. This large curve measures 24cm wide, 21cm high and 10cm deep.

A more minimal and abstract approach to this piece. Using the natural edges of rolled glass, no two pieces are alike. The blend of transparent and opaque glasses give depth, frits are added for texture, creating a very tactile piece of glass. This medium size curve measures 14cm wide, 15cm high and 4.5cm deep.

Vibrant red flowers bob in the wind in a sunny border. The summer sky is a beautiful and blue, without a cloud in sight. Birds sing, bees collect pollen and the smell of newly mown grass hangs in the air. This medium size curve measures 14cm wide, 15cm high and 4.5cm deep.
